Nervous System Reality Check
Forget the pretty Instagram workouts. True wellness goes way beyond your clients' outer shell. While everyone else is obsessing over bicep curls, you'll understand the master system running the show—the nervous system.
Your clients' nervous system isn't just keeping them alive; it's controlling their digestion, immunity, hormones, pain levels, sleep, emotions, and their ability to heal from all the chaos life throws at them. A dysregulated nervous system will sabotage the most perfect workout plan. A regulated one? Game changer.
Learn polyvagal theory like your clients' lives depend on it—because they do. Recognize when someone's nervous system is screaming "DANGER!" even in your safe studio. Stop pushing harder when their system needs safety first.
Read your clients' nervous system like a roadmap of their life story
Integrate nervous system education without sounding like a textbook
Recognize when someone's window of tolerance is blown and what to do about it
Create genuine co-regulation (not fake motivation)
Design workouts that work with fight, flight, freeze, and fawn—not against them
Handle "difficult" clients by understanding they're not broken, they're protecting themselves
Breath isn't just "in and out." It's the remote control for your nervous system, and most people are walking around suffocating themselves.
We're not talking about basic "take a deep breath". These are ancient yogic techniques specifically chosen because they actually regulate your nervous system and make you stronger, not just calmer.
Ujjayi Pranayama for building real internal power during strength work
Nadi Shodhana for when life has your nervous system in a pretzel
Bhramari for activating your vagus nerve and telling anxiety to sit down
Box Breathing for getting centered before you lift heavy shit
Kapalabhati for lighting up your metabolism and energy
Extended exhale magic for actually recovering, not just collapsing
Integration That Makes Sense: Weave breathwork into every phase so it doesn't feel like woo-woo add-on crap. Your clients will finally understand why conscious breathing changes everything—not just their workouts, but how they handle stress, relationships, and life.
Body scanning to develop actual self-awareness (not just mirror checking)
Pendulation practices for releasing stuck energy without re-traumatizing
Grounding and orienting to feel safe in your own skin
Bilateral stimulation for nervous system integration and trauma processing
Boundary awareness movements for people whose boundaries got trampled
Micro-movement explorations that unlock years of chronic holding patterns
Witness consciousness to observe without judgment or shame
Stop being another fitness professional. Become a guide who actually sees people.

Talk therapy wasn’t enough—I didn’t truly heal until I took this 3-month SomaPWR course. Trauma lives in the body, and Rachel Friedman, an incredible healer and psychotherapist, guided us through movement, breathwork, and compassionate witnessing that transformed me. Each week released hidden memories and stuck energy, helping me reclaim my power and peace. This group became my soul tribe—authentic, safe, and deeply healing. I now set firm boundaries, use somatic tools daily, and incorporate this work with my clients, who love it too. SomaPWR is shadow work in a safe space—true healing for mind, body, and spirit.

Sign up for a training that fits your schedule. Online trainings are offered every month.
Training materials are made available on the second Monday of the month.
Our 100% self-paced training puts you in control. Most participants follow our 3-week pace to fully absorb the 15 hours of content, but experienced instructors can knock it out in just a few days. Either way, you get full access to every resource from start to finish.
Each training group has its own private Facebook group for trainees to connect, introduce themselves and carry out weekly assignments.
Each week participants are encouraged to attend a call with their mentor and fellow trainees via Zoom to connect and ask questions. This is optional, and each call is recorded so you can watch it at your convenience if you’re unable to attend live.
Once training is complete you’re asked to submit a video of you teaching the warm up and two additional sessions for evaluation. Don’t stress! We prepare you for this and it’s hands down one of the most impactful parts of the training. We’ve had multiple seasoned instructors say the detailed evaluation form they received back was priceless.
You’ll receive a feedback form for your evaluation video within two weeks.
If you receive a 75% or higher on your evaluation video, you’ll be given a link to sign up to become a licensed SomaPWR instructor.
If you score below 75%, you’re invited to resubmit a new video. The evaluation form has detailed notes and suggestions to help you level up your skills so we ask that you spend at least 30 days making these improvements before you resubmit. Just to reassure you, it’s not often that we ask individuals to resubmit. However, those that did have always appreciated the extra time and guidance so that they were better prepared before teaching to the public, and several have turned out to be some of our most qualified instructors.
Meet people from around the globe during this interactive online certification process. Despite the fact this training is remote, you’ll feel supported and motivated to participate along with your fellow trainees. This training is about 15 hours worth of content divided over a 3-week period so you can go at your own pace. While not encouraged, we do allow seasoned instructors to move through the training faster.
Before training you receive a printable workbook, three tutorials, and a video module of SomaPWR fundamentals. We ask that you watch this content before coming to training.
Training generally starts at 9 AM and is done by 6 PM.
Live trainings kick off with a 1-hour master class taught by the trainer.
You are given a link to a private group with only your fellow trainees so you can stay in contact for ongoing connection and support.
